OUR YOUTH PROGRAM is A TEN-WEEK, AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM for MIDDLE and HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE PROGRAM SEEKS to REDUCE EATING DISORDER RISK BY INTRODUCING PREVENTATIVE INTERVENTION COMBINING A VALIDATED BODY POSITIVITY CURRICULUM WITH AN INNOVATIVE NEAR-PEER MENTORSHIP MODEL. IN 2023, OUR PROGRAM REACHED OVER 400 STUDENTS ACROSS 17 PHILADELPHIA PUBLIC MIDDLE and HIGH SCHOOLS. STATISTICAL ANALYSES of OUR OUTCOMES DATA SHOWED A SIGNIFICANT DECREASE IN EATING DISORDER SYMPTOMS MEASURED IN OUR PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS AS WELL AS A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN BODY APPRECIATION. THE TESTIMONIALS FROM OUR STUDENTS ALSO HIGHLIGHT THE IMPORTANCE of OUR WORK.
