The Maritime Music & Tradition Society Presents An Annual Sea Music Festival; Through The Festival and Other Concerts, Lectures, Demonstrations, and Song-sharing Sessions, We Enact Our Mission of Preserving and Encouraging Maritime Music, From Deepwater Sailing to Inland Waterways, and Building Community. The 3nd Connecticut Sea Music Festival Was Held From June 7-10, 2024 In Essex CT. The Festival Featured 5 Performance Stages Throughout The Town and 28 Performers, With Evening Concerts At A Marquee Tent On The Grounds of The CT River Museum. There Were 41 Workshops, 3 Evening Concerts, Plus Pop-up Performances At 4 Other Locations In Town. An Outdoor Demonstration Area Provided Presentations and Workshops On Maritime Cultural Traditions and Skills. The Festival Included An Accessible, Barrier-free Venue for Families and Young Children, The Family Stage.
