One Heart Gathered Partner Churches Through Monthly Meetings (10 Out of 12 Months) to Share Information, Resources, and Ideas. The Group Selected Topics and Outside Speakers From Relevant Service Providers to Children and Families At Risk Of, or Currently Under, The Texas Foster System. Attendees Use These Experiences to Help Get Their Churches Engaged In Ways That Are Aligned With Their Faith Communitys Resources, Skill Sets, and Passions. In Particular, One Heart Coordinated Monthly Foster Parent Nights Out Every Month of The Year (except July) Across Six Partner Church Campuses. One Heart Also Coordinated A Trauma-informed Workshop for Childrens Ministries and Ministry Volunteers Open to Any Church In Lubbock. One of The Most Important Roles One Heart Again Played In The Community Was "soft" Networking, or Connecting People, Needs, and Opportunities With Churches Ready and Willing to Engage, But Who Would Otherwise Not Be Aware of Such Things.
