THE RENOVATION of THE HISTORIC AIRPORT TERMINAL BUILDING WAS COMPLETED IN 2025. THE ROOF and CEILING WERE REPLACED, THE EXTERIOR WAS PATCHED and PAINTED, THE WOOD FLOORS WERE REFINISHED, NEW WINDOWS WERE INSTALLED, THE FRONT OFFICE WAS REPAIRED and PAINTED, THE BATHROOMS WERE RENOVATED, PAINTED, and NEW FIXTURES WERE INSTALLED, THE KITCHEN WAS PAINTED and A NEW FLOOR WAS INSTALLED, and MANY OTHER REPAIRS WERE MADE. IN ADDITION, A DISPLAY of PICTURES HIGHLIGHTING THE HISTORY of THE AIRPORT WERE HUNG IN THE BUILDING. A GRANT FROM THE RECREATION AVIATION FOUNDATION (RAF) MADE THE COMPLETION of THE PROJECT POSSIBLE. ALMOST ALL of THE RENOVATION WORK WAS DONE BY VOLUNTEERS. THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED SEVERAL WORK PARTIES DURING THE YEAR WHERE VOLUNTEERS GATHERED AT THE AIRPORT to COMPLETE THE VARIOUS PROJECTS.
