What they do
IN 2024, MINNESOTA PARENTS ALLIANCE (MPA) BUILT ON THE SUCCESS THAT WE ACHIEVED IN OUR FIRST TWO YEARS BY CONTINUING to OFFER ONLINE and IN-PERSON EVENTS and RESOURCES to EMPOWER PARENTS and COMMUNITY MEMBERS to PLAY AN ACTIVE, INFORMED ROLE IN LOCAL K-12 EDUCATION. IN SPRING 2024, MPA HOSTED THE FIRST EVER TWIN CITIES EDUCATION FREEDOM SHOWCASE for FAMILIES to LEARN and EXPLORE UNCONVENTIONAL OPTIONS IN K-12 EDUCATION. PRESENTERS INCLUDED NATIONAL and LOCAL EXPERTS IN PRIVATE, MICRO, HYBRID and HOMESCHOOL OPTIONS for A FULL-DAY AGENDA and OVER 30 EXHIBITORS SHOWCASING K-12 PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE TWIN CITIES and SURROUNDING AREA. MPA ALSO CONTINUED to EXPAND OUR INTERACTIVE WEBSITE and EDUCATIONAL VIDEO LIBRARY and LEVERAGED OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS to DELIVER TIMELY INFORMATION and CALLS to ACTION and EQUIP MINNESOTANS WITH THE FACTS THEY NEED to BE EFFECTIVE ADVOCATES for STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT and ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN A BOTTOM-UP APPROACH to EDUCATION REFORM. THROUGHOUT 2024 MPAS

Plain answer: A tax form cannot prove that a charity is doing good. It can show how the charity says it spent its money—and point out questions you should ask.

Money made simple
Ask these three easy questions
- Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
- What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
- Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.
Worth asking: Expenses exceeded revenue this year. Ask whether that was planned or caused by a one-time event.
Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
