THE NONPROFIT is PROVIDING ACTIVITIES to DISABLED INDIVIDUALS SUCH AS GARDENING, COOKING, TAKING CARE of ANIMALS and TOOLS for MANAGING EMOTIONS. THE NONPROFIT is HELPING to SECURE SAFE and SUITABLE HOUSING for INDIVIDUALS WITH THESE DISABILITIES SO THAT THEY CAN ENJOY INDEPENDENCE AS WELL AS PROVIDE THE LIFE and JOB SKILLS THAT THEY NEED to BE ABLE to LIVE WITHOUT SUPERVISION. DURING THE YEAR, THE NONPROFIT ALSO PARTICIPATED IN A CALIFORNIA-FUNDED INITIATIVE, THE SELF DETERMINATION PROGRAM, WHICH is DESIGNED to EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS to LEARN SKILLS and GAIN INDEPENDENCE.
