SEATTLE CHILDRENS HOSPITAL (DBA MIRACLE HOUSE GUILD)

EIN 91-2102818 · Health Care (E1120)

What they do

THE MIRACLE HOUSE GUILD WAS FOUNDED IN 2000 to SUPPORT SEATTLE CHILDRENS HOSPITAL (A 501(C)(3) TAX-EXEMPT HOSPITAL) BY RAISING AWARENESS and FUNDS PRIMARILY for THE UNCOMPENSATED CARE PROGRAM. "THE MIRACLE HOUSE," A NAME COINED for THE HOSPITAL BY FAITHFUL SUPPORTER and STORYTELLER PHIL SMART SENIOR, WAS A NAME GIVEN to THE GUILD AS RECOGNITION of ITS UNIQUE HISTORY. THE GUILD WAS CREATED IN RESPONSE to A DIVERSE GROUP of STRANGERS FROM ALL OVER GREATER KING and PIERCE COUNTIES WHO EXPRESSED AN INTEREST IN GUILD MEMBERSHIP, BUT WHO DID NOT HAVE A SPECIFIC LINK to AN EXISTING GUILD. NOW A STRONG and GROWING GROUP of FRIENDS, THEY CONTINUE to SHARE A COMMON BOND of DEEP DEVOTION to SUPPORTING SEATTLE CHILDRENS HOSPITAL to ENSURE THAT THE CHILDREN of THE NORTHWEST HAVE THE BEST POSSIBLE HEALTHCARE AVAILABLE to THEM REGARDLESS of THEIR ABILITY to PAY.

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
