OUR PROGRAM IMMERSES UNDERSERVED YOUTH IN THE NATURAL WORLD BY PROVIDING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES IN BALTIMORE and 6-8 DAY TRIPS to SOUTHERN UTAH, INCLUDING CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARK. PARTICIPANTS EXPERIENCE MANY OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING CAMPING, HIKING, STARGAZING, HORSEBACK RIDING, CANYONEERING, and YOGA. UTILIZING EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION and PROVIDING CONNECTIONS to THE NATURAL WORLD, OUR PARTICIPANTS LEARN HANDS-ON ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT, SUSTAINABILITY, GEOLOGY and ECOLOGY. A MAJORITY of OUR PARTICIPANTS SAW AN INCREASE IN MEASURED OUTCOMES, INCLUDING CONFIDENCE IN OVERCOMING CHALLENGES, INCREASED LEVELS of COMMUNICATION, and FEELING BETTER CONNECTED to NATURE. IN 2024, 41 YOUTH PARTICIPATED IN PROGRAMMING, 80% QUALIFIED for FREE or REDUCED LUNCH. OUR PROGRAM PROVIDES SOCIAL and EMOTIONAL LEARNING SKILLS to PARTICIPANTS. THE EXPERIENTIAL PROGRAM HELPS OUR STUDENTS DEVELOP LEADERSHIP and IMPROVED INDIVIDUAL and INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
