Obo Addy Legacy Project Presented Performances and Educational Outreach Activities Throughout The Year. The Organization Served Over 10,000 People Mainly In Oregon and Washington. All of Our Programs Were Based On Educating People About The Rich Cultures and Musical Traditions of Ghana and The Connections to African-American Culture.We Worked Through The Young Audiences and Right Brain Initiative Programs to Bring Ghanaian Dance and Drumming to School Age Children. We Spent The Year Going Once A Week to Schools Throughout The Region. In Addition, We Went to About 15 Schools for Assembly Programs.We Sent A Drummer/teacher to Southwest Washington-SWCCC to Conduct Summer Classes for Children As Young As Four Years Old and As Old As Ten. Our Artists Brought African Music to Four Other Summer Camps.
