What they do

THE JUNIPER WILDLIFE REFUGE is A NON-PROFIT ANIMAL SANCTUARY LOCATED ON THE RURAL EDGE of TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA. OUR PRIMARY FOCUS is NORTH AMERICAN WILDLIFE THAT CAN NO LONGER LIVE IN THE WILD DUE to HUMAN INTERFERENCE or PHYSICAL DISABILITIES. SINCE OUR RESIDENT ANIMALS CAN NOT RETURN to THEIR WILD ROOTS OUR HOME BECOMES THEIR HOME and THEY BECOME A PART of OUR FAMILY. AT OUR REFUGE, EACH ANIMAL is INCLUDED IN OUR DAILY LIVES. WE EMPHASIZE THE IMPORTANCE of GETTING to KNOW THEM AS INDIVIDUALS and UNRAVELING THEIR UNIQUE PERSONALITIES AS THEY GROW and THRIVE IN A LOVING ENVIRONMENT. AS WILD ANIMALS, WE RESPECT and UNDERSTAND THEIR NEEDS, THEIR BEHAVIORS, THEIR BOUNDARIES, and SPARE NO EFFORT to OFFER EACH ANIMAL A NATURALISTIC ENCLOSURE WHERE THEY CAN EXHIBIT THEIR WILD INSTINCTS. HOWEVER, THEY ARE ALSO GIVEN THE PRIVILEGE to COME INDOORS, to REST ON OUR COUCH, to SLEEP IN OUR BED, SPENDING THEIR LIVES KNOWING THEY ARE CHERISHED. WE ALSO HELP OUR LOCAL WILDLIFE REHABILITATION CENTERS B

Plain answer: A tax form cannot prove that a charity is doing good. It can show how the charity says it spent its money—and point out questions you should ask.

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
