THE PURPOSE of THE INDUSTRIAL SECURITY WORKING GROUP ("ISWG") is TO: ADVANCE THE SECURITY PROFESSION WITHIN THE SENSITIVE COMPARTMENTED INFORMATION ("SCI") COMMUNITY IN SUPPORT of UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT ("USG") PROGRAMS; FOSTER PROFESSIONALISM AMONG ISWGS MEMBERS, AS WELL AS ASSIST INDUSTRY MEMBERS and USG AGENCIES THROUGH SHARED KNOWLEDGE, COLLABORATION, EXPERIENCE, and RESOURCES; and PROVIDE AN EDUCATIONAL FORUM for EXCHANGING VIEWS and INFORMATION ABOUT CURRENT and PROPOSED METHODS, PRACTICES, and PROCEDURES for IMPLEMENTING SCI SECURITY PROGRAMS IN INDUSTRY. THE BOARD of DIRECTORS ("BOARD") of ISWG ALSO PROVIDES THE USG WITH FEEDBACK FROM ISWG MEETINGS and SURVEYS, PROVIDES DATA to THE USG, and MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS for EFFICIENT and COST EFFECTIVE SCI INDUSTRIAL SECURITY PROGRAMS.
