IT is THE MISSION of IOLAS LYCEUM to EMPOWER, CHALLENGE OPPRESSION, and PROMOTE AN EQUITABLE and FREE SOCIETY BY FOSTERING A COMMUNITY INVESTED IN THE VALUES of COMMUNAL MINDFULNESS, INTELLECTUAL CURIOSITY, and JUSTICE. IOLAS LYCEUM SEEKS to FOSTER LITERACY, COMMUNITY BUILDING, ACTIVISM and CULTURE BY BRINGING WRITERS, ARTISTS and OTHER CREATIVES IN A SPACE WITH COMMUNITY to DISCUSS THEIR WORK, to SUPPORT CREATION and to STRATEGIZE AROUND POLICIES IMPACTING VULNERABLE POPULATIONS. IOLAS LYCEUM WILL USE CULTURE and CREATIVITY AS A DRIVER of MORE JUST COMMUNITIES BY SUPPORTING LITERACY, KNOWLEDGE and COMMUNITY COLLABORATION BY CREATING PUBLIC PROGRAMMING SUCH AS TALKS, AUTHOR READINGS and WRITING and OTHER WORKSHOPS to SERVE and ENGAGE EVERYONE IN THE COMMUNITY. IOLAS LYCEUM WILL INTENTIONALLY DRAW WRITERS, CREATIVES, SCHOLARS and ACTIVISTS TOGETHER to CURATE COMMUNAL EXPERIENCES IN THE HOPES of FURTHERING COLLABORATION and MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING.
