OUR MISSION is to CONNECT CHILDREN to THE MAGIC of NATURE and THE POWER of PLAY, WHERE CURIOSITY THRIVES, CREATIVITY BLOOMS and CONFIDENT, CAPABLE LIVES BEGIN. WE HAVE ESTABLISHED THE DBA MAINE NATURE KIDS. WE ARE BUILDING A FOREST PRESCHOOL ON 88 ACRES of LAND IN GLENBURN, MAINE WHICH WILL SERVE UP to 50 CHILDREN AGES 3-5. THE SCHOOL is MODELED AFTER THE EUROPEAN FOREST KINDERGARTENS WHERE CHILDREN SPEND UP to 70% of THEIR TIME OUTSIDE. OUR CURRICULA ARE 3 PRONGED: NATURE BASED, PLAY BASED and PLACE BASED. WE WILL OFFER A FOOD PROGRAM WITH COMMERCIAL KITCHEN to PROVIDE MEALS for CHILDREN and ALSO INTERMITTENTLY to FAMILIES and THE COMMUNITY AS WELL AS TEACH FOOD EDUCATION.
