What they do

Volunteer Trips - In 2025 We Hosted 42 Different Volunteers In Puerto Rico Who Helped On The Ground With Our Partner Rescues. Our Partner Rescues Often Do Not Have The Manpower Needed to Maintain Their Properties In Addition to Caring for The Numerous Rescues In Their Charge So The Help of Additional Volunteers Allows for Extra Socialization Deep Cleaning Maintenance Projects and Groundskeeping Tasks to Get Done. Additionally These Volunteers Helped Fundraise and Raise Awareness Via Their Own Personal Networks. Through This Program We Were Able to Support 14 Different Organizations and Individual Rescuers Across Puerto Rico and The US. We Donated Over $6666 to These Organizations In Supplies and Monetary Funds Directly From This Program and Contributed Nearly 600 Hours of Hands-on Volunteer Work.

Are they doing good?

Easy charity check
Good signs so far

The public paperwork has several good signs. Now check whether the charity can show who it helped.

Here is the honest answer: A tax form shows money and paperwork. It cannot prove that people, animals, or the community were truly helped.

Money made simple

$107.01spent for every $100 of revenueSpending was higher than revenue this year.
23.8%of its money came from giftsOther money may come from services or investments.

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Worth asking: Expenses exceeded revenue by $5,445 this year. Ask whether that was planned or caused by a one-time event.

Pay context: The highest compensation shown in this filing is $18,330 for CATHERINE CONNELL (VOLUNTEER TRIP HOST). Compare pay with organizations of similar size and complexity.

Bottom line: Good paperwork is a good sign—not proof. The best answer comes when the charity can show what it changed, who it helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
