Continued The Operation of The Hawaiiverse Internship Program, An Established Technology-focused Workforce Development Initiative Originally Founded In 2021. The Ongoing Program Promotes A Local Economy-centered Worldview By Providing Hands-on Technical Training, Mentorship, and Leadership Development to Youth and Emerging Professionals (ages 16-32), With A Dedicated Focus On Participants From Rural and Underserved Communities Across Hawaii. During The 2025 Calendar Year, The Program Successfully Hosted 8 Interns, Delivering A Total of 519 Hours of Direct Workforce Experience, Confidence-building Training, and Career Pathways. These Milestones Were Achieved In Collaboration With Key Community and Educational Partners, Including The Hawaii Workforce Pipeline, Kapili Oihana (Kamehameha Schools), Hawaii Community College, The University of Hawaii At Hilo, and The Local Chamber of Commerce. Due to Lack of Funding, This Continues to Be Managed With In Kind Services.
