What they do
Through The Illinois Welcoming Center (IWC), MENA Community Center Provided A One-stop Access Point for Immigrants, Refugees, and Other Vulnerable Residents to Connect With Public Benefits, Social Services, and Community Resources. In FY25, The Programs Goals Were to Help Clients Understand Eligibility, Complete Applications, and Overcome Barriers to Stability Through Case Management, Crisis Intervention, and Referrals to Programs Such As SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, and Childcare. Services Also Included Outreach, Workshops, and Interpretation to Ensure Language and Cultural Accessibility. Through IWC, We Served Around 1,000 Individuals, Advancing Equity, Self-sufficiency, and Inclusion for Immigrant, Refugee and Low-income Families Across Chicagos North and Northwest Sides.
