What they do

Sewing Skills + Survivor Employment Program. In FY25, Not I But We Incs Nonprofit Grantee Operated A Trauma-informed Sewing and Employment Program for Survivors of Trafficking and Gender-based Violence. The Grantee Trained 8 New Survivors In Vocational Sewing Skills, With All Participants Placed In Paid Employment Roles At Not I But We Upon Completion of Training. In Total, 9 Survivor-artisans Received Healing-centered Employment During The Fiscal Year, Accumulating Over 11,000 Hours of Dignified, Stable Work. The Program Provided 130+ Hours of Free Therapy, Promoted 2 Survivors Into Leadership Roles Within The Organization, and Indirectly Impacted 30+ Family Members Through The Economic and Emotional Stability Created By Survivors Employment. The Program Operates As A Survivor-led, Healing-centered Workplace Rooted In The Belief That Dignified Employment is A Pathway to Long-term Recovery and Restoration.
