THE ANGELS FLIGHT RAILWAY, WITH ITS RESTORED 1906 and 1908 BUILDINGS, is A WORKING MUSEUM THAT REOPENED IN 1996. HISTORIC ARTIFACTS NOT RE-USED IN THE RAILWAY RESTORATION WILL BE DISPLAYED IN A GALLERY FACILITY. ALSO to BE DISPLAYED WILL BE ARTWORK and OTHER EDUCATION MATERIALS RELATED to THE HISTORY of THE RAILWAY and EARLY LOS ANGELES. AFTER SIGNIFICANT RESTORATION WORK PERFORMED IN 2007-2009, and WITH THE ASSISTANCE of GRANTS FROM THE FOUNDATION, THE RAILWAY RECOMMENCED DAILY PUBLIC SERVICE IN MARCH, 2010. FOLLOWING A PERIOD of RESTORATION and NON-OPERATION COMMENCING IN SEPTEMBER, 2013, THE RAILWAY AGAIN BEGAN PUBLIC SERVICE OPERATIONS ON AUGUST 31, 2017.
