IN ITS FOUNDING and ORGANIZING YEAR, THE LEARNING COLLABORATIVE FIRST BEGAN OFFERING REMEDIAL TUTORING SERVICES IN THE FALL of 2024 for 7 CHILDREN WITH DYSLEXIA BETWEEN AGES 5-9. EARLY RESULTS SHOWED DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT IN READING and WRITING PROFICIENCY WITHIN A FEW SHORT MONTHS. IN THE FALL, TLC CONDUCTED EDUCATIONAL EVALUATIONS for 9 CHILDREN to DETERMINE THE LIKELIHOOD of DYSLEXIA. THREE COMMUNITY INFORMATIONAL FORUMS WERE OFFERED EARLIER IN THE YEAR, WHICH PROVIDED INFORMATION ABOUT DYSLEXIA and ABOUT IEPS and WORKING WITH SCHOOLS. TLC COLLABORATED ON SERVICES WITH SCHOOLS and SCHOOL DISTRICTS, OFFERING TRAINING and STRUCTURAL SOLUTIONS to INCREASE READING and WRITING PROFICIENCY.
