THE PURPOSE of THE CORPORATION SHALL BE to CULTIVATE and DEVELOP INFORMED and INVOLVED CITIZENS WORKING to MAKE JOHNSON COUNTY A COMMUNITY of CITIZENS WHO VALUE DIVERSITY, CREATE A VIBRANT DEMOCRACY, HAVE A PASSION for COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, HAVE A STRONG SENSE of HISTORY, COUNTY IDENTITY, and REGIONAL INFLUENCE, and WORK to IMPROVE THE PHYSICAL, SOCIAL, and CULTURAL WELL-BEING of ALL COUNTY RESIDENTS. IN FURTHERANCE of THIS PURPOSE, THE CORPORATION SHALL PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING THROUGH VARIOUS PROGRAMS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: THE LJC SIGNATURE PROGRAM, LJC YOUTH LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, LJC SELECT WORKSHOPS, and LEADERSHIP to YOUR DOOR. THE PROGRAMMING is CARRIED OUT IN A SERIES of SESSIONS WHOSE CONTENT, FREQUENCY, and SCHEDULE ARE to BE DETERMINED ANNUALLY BY THE BOARD of TRUSTEES.
