MAUI ACCESS TO MINDFUL MOVEMENT

EIN 99-2977632 · Arts & Culture (A20)

What they do

MAUI ACCESS to MINDFUL MOVEMENT (MAMM) WAS AWARDED A HAWAII COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GRANT IN 2024. FUNDS WERE USED to PRODUCE OVER 40 COMMUNITY MINDFUL MOVEMENT EVENTS ON THE ISLAND of MAUI. THESE GATHERINGS RANGED FROM KEIKI (CHILDREN) SOCIAL EVENTS THAT GAVE PARENTS A NEEDED NIGHT OFF for YOGA and MEDITATION CLASSES-ALL DESIGNED to SUPPORT MENTAL, EMOTIONAL and PHYSICAL WELL BEING. BY COLLABORATING WITH ESTABLISHED MINDFUL MOVEMENT TEACHERS and LOCAL MAUI BUSINESSES, MAMM OFFERED THESE BY-DONATION EVENTS ACROSS THE ISLAND MAKING WELLNESS and CONNECTION ACCESSIBLE to ALL. WITH AN AVERAGE of 25 PARTICIPANTS, THESE EVENTS DIRECTLY REACHED MORE THAN 1,000 MAUI RESIDENTS. EACH COMMUNITY EVENT ALSO SERVED AS A FUNDRAISER for MAMMS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, HELPING SUSTAIN ACCESS to MINDFUL MOVEMENT YEAR ROUND. THROUGH THESE FOUNDRAISERS and COMMUNITY DONATIONS, MAMM PROVIDED OVER 25,000 IN TUITION ASSISTANCE to FAMILIES WHO WOULD OTHERWISE COULD NOT AFFORD to ENROLL THEIR KEIKI IN MINDFUL MOVEMENT

Plain answer: A tax form cannot prove that a charity is doing good. It can show how the charity says it spent its money—and point out questions you should ask.

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
