What they do
THE RESONANCE PROJECT WAS ESTABLISHED IN THE THIRD QUARTER of 2024 and PRESENTED ITS FIRST TWO TICKETED CLASSICAL LECTURE-RECITALS IN THE FOURTH QUARTER, EACH DRAWING AN AUDIENCE of APPROXIMATELY 100 IN CLEVELAND HEIGHTS. THE INAUGURAL CONCERT FEATURED WORKS BY THE FEMALE COMPOSER ELIZABETH JACQUET DE LA GUERRE, WHILE THE SECOND CONCERT EXPLORED THE INTERPLAY of TEXT and MUSIC IN FIFTEEN LIEDER ON THE THEM of LOVE. THESE EVENTS CHALLENGED TRADITIONAL CONCERT NORMS BY INCORPORATING NARRATIVE, VISUAL, and EXPLICATIVE ELEMENTS, and PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN TICKETS INCREASED ACCESSIBILITY to A DIVERSE AUDIENCE. OUTREACH ACTIVITIES INCLUDED A HAPPY HARPSICHORD HOUR for STUDENTS AFFILIATED WITH THE NORTHEAST OHIO MUSIC TEACHERTS ASSOCIATION, PERFORMANCES AT THE TRANSPLANT HOUSE AT HOPE LODGE, and A CONCERT AT THE CLEVELAND MUSEUM of ART.
