Details on what is needed:With the new Community Welcome Center opening in Spring 2026, one item on our wish list is a Gator to maintain the Lake & Nature Trails and Conservancy in general. Throughout the year, we remulch the Trails with wheelbarrows and shovels. This work is done by volunteers of all ages including students from Franklin High School. Many of the volunteers brought their own ATV's and the City of Franklin DPW has also provided staff and front end loaders. It's a long, tough job as the Trails are on kettle land winding and dipping as ice-age woodlands are known for. Throughout the year, large limbs may fall that need to be moved or removed. Maintenance of the Healing Garden can also be easier with a Gator vehicle. We have wonderful volunteers and partnerships with youth groups who care deeply for our community resource. The new Community Welcome Center has a lower mechanical/store level that has room to store the Gator.
