Details on what is needed:Courageous Women Association is seeking donations in the form of bedding (sheets, mattress, pillows, and covers etc.) to support The Courage House, our transitional home providing safe, confidential housing for women and children healing from violence, exploitation, and trafficking in the Oakland area. The Courage House serves as a vital bridge between crisis and independence, offering trauma-informed housing, stability, and supportive services for survivors who are rebuilding their lives. Many of the residents we serve are overcoming significant barriers, including homelessness, trauma recovery, and economic instability. Currently, our program is experiencing a critical funding gap impacting essential operational expenses such as housing, utilities, and resident support services. Securing stabilization funding will ensure that women and children in our care can continue their healing journey in a safe, consistent, and supportive environment without disruption. This funding will directly support: • Safe transitional housing for survivors and their children • Rent and utility costs for program continuity • Trauma-informed support services and case management • Program sustainability and resident stability For over a decade, Courageous Women Association has remained committed to serving vulnerable populations in Oakland through housing, economic empowerment, and survivor-centered programming. The Courage House fills a crucial gap in safe housing options for survivors who would otherwise face housing instability or unsafe living conditions. With timely grant support, community investment, and donations ,we can maintain this essential housing resource, prevent service disruption, and continue providing life-changing support to women and children on their path toward long-term stability and independence. Your support helps ensure that survivors have not only a safe place to stay, but a foundation to rebuild their lives with dignity, safety, and hope.
